Europe drives Turkey's April scrap imports increase
Turkish scrap imports increased on-year in April, following the declines registered in March and February, driven by higher imports from European countries, Kallanish learns from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
April's scrap imports rose by 21.1% y-o-y to 1.67 million tonnes. The overall average value/tonne of these imports increased to $271/tonne from $193/t a year ago.
