Southern Europe drives Turkey's hot-rolled flats export surge
Turkey's hot-rolled (HR) flat steel exports soared in April, mainly driven by a jump in shipments to southern European countries, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
April's HR flats intake came in at 298,731 tonnes, up 65.7% on-year. The overall average value/tonne of these imports increased to $539/t from $336/t a year ago.
