EU to accelerate decarbonisation, enable energy-intensive industry aid
The EU Commission’s REPowerEU policy package announced this week, aimed at breaking the bloc’s dependence on Russian gas, will accelerate the deployment of hydrogen and renewable electricity use in industrial sectors. It will also provide emergency funding to steelmakers hit by soaring energy costs.
