Fresh Turkish bookings reduce EU-origin scrap further
While Turkish mills have not fully returned to the scrap market, a mill in the Marmara region is heard to have concluded two bookings from the EU.
The HMS 1&2 80:20 price stands at $284/tonne cfr Turkey in both deals, while one of the deals also includes bonus grade at $298/t cfr.
The previous HMS 80:20 scrap booking was confirmed at $287/t cfr last week. With the fresh bookings, EU-origin scrap prices have declined by $3/t.
