EU funds uncertainty looms over CEE steel-consuming investment
The Central and Eastern European (CEE) economic growth cycle has turned, according to Fitch Ratings, owing to reduced stimulation from EU funding and capacity constraints in the labour market.
EU funding and EU economic growth have not been the only growth drivers. CEE domestic demand has been a key factor, with reduced unemployment resulting in higher disposable income which in turn has lead to increased consumption.
