EU countries want ban on Russian scrap imports
At least four EU countries – Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Latvia and Estonia – have proposed that Brussels ban the import of ferrous, copper and aluminium and scrap from Russia, Kallanish notes.
The proposal was presented at a meeting of the European Union Environment Council held on Monday, Lithuania’s environment ministry says.
