Etihad Rail awards further phase-two construction contracts
Etihad Rail has awarded Packages B and C for the construction of the second phase of United Arab Emirates’ railway network. Their value is AED 4.4 billion ($1.2 billion).
The 216km Package B and 94km Package C contracts have been awarded to a consortium of Ghantoot Transport and General Contracting, and China Railway Construction Company. Stage Two, when complete, will run for 605km from Ghuweifat to the Port of Fujairah.
