ERG/Chinese consortium sign Brazilian iron ore project MoU
Kazakhstan’s Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), via its Brazilian offshoot Bahia Mineração (Bamin), has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bahia state and a Chinese consortium to develop an iron ore project in Brazil.
The project includes Bamin’s Pedra de Ferro iron ore mine, the Porto Sul deep-water port and the associated FIOL railway. It represents an investment value of $2.4 billion, ERG says. The MoU was signed at the beginning…
