Erdemir delays galv line launch, exports rescue sales
Erdemir has pushed back until before year-end the start of commercial production at the new continuous galvanizing line no.2 at its Eregli steelworks.
The group’s flat product sales were flat on-year in January-September at 5.59 million tonnes, but longs deliveries plunged -35% to 656,000t. Hot rolled coil sales rose 3% to 4.31mt, but cold rolled coil shipments fell -10% to 1.28mt.
