Energy tube pricing remains at standstill in US
US energy tube pricing remains in limbo as falling hot-rolled coil prices are offset by developing inventory holes, Kallanish learns from market sources.
A Gulf Coast line pipe buyer says low transactional volume has effectively frozen pricing.
“No one’s buying, so holes are starting to appear more and more,” he says, “[... But] with hot-rolled coil continuing to drop, it is still very hard to speculate in stock.”
