Ukraine's Electrostal produces in January and February
Ukrainian electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Electrostal produced 14,000 tonnes of billet in January-February 2020, having been idle in the corresponding period of 2019.
January output totalled 3,000t and February was at 11,000t, Kallanish understands. These volumes were booked in late 2019, when the billet export market experienced a temporary recovery.
