Electrostal halts output, again
Ukrainian electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Electrostal has halted output amid negative export market sentiment and high output costs, the company says.
The mill produced 1,000 tonnes of square billet in September, having cut output three-fold on-year in January-September to just 73,000t. The mill was idle in January-March, and was running at about a third of capacity, halting production in September again. July and August saw the mill producing 10,000t each…
