Electricity curtailment, floods inhibit Chinese stainless steel output
Due to continuous electricity curtailments in Guangxi Province and floods in Henan Province, stainless steel output in these areas has been reduced. Some affected companies are choosing to cut production of stainless 201 series billet, which is less profitable than stainless 304 series billet, Kallanish notes.
