EIC surveys steel, coke plant energy consumption
China has launched a round of energy consumption inspections of steel companies and more than 500 coking plants since early March, according to the Economy & Information Commission. The campaign will limit or stop production at substandard facilities until they rectify any issues found, Kallanish notes.
