Egypt’s steel exports jump in January-May
Egypt’s steel exports surged 179% on-year to $584 million during the first five months of 2021 versus $209m in the same period last year, according to the Export Council for Building Materials (ECBM)’s latest monthly report monitored by Kallanish.
The country exported steel to about 70 countries in January-May. Spain took the biggest share with $150.8m, followed by Italy with $145.8m and Saudi Arabia with $66.03m, with the three countries together…
