Egyptian Steel starts Ain Sokhna plant trials

Egyptian Steel has started trials at its Ain Sokhna rebar steelworks, with commercial production scheduled to begin in January, the firm tells Kallanish. The plant has capacities of 530,000 tonnes/year of rebar and 850,000 t/y of square billet, and will use mainly scrap as feedstock.
