Egyptian Steel begins Beni Suef steelworks cold trials

Egyptian Steel has begun cold trials at its new Beni Suef rebar steelworks. Commercial production is scheduled to begin in June, a company representative tells Kallanish. The electric arc furnace-based plant has capacities of 600,000 tonnes/year of rebar and 850,000 t/y of square billet.
