Egyptian rebar sales diminish towards end of 2018

Egyptian domestic market rebar sales fell -28% on-year in December 2018 to 508,000 tonnes, their second-lowest monthly tonnage in 2018, according to the latest Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data monitored by Kallanish. The average price of these sales rose by 1% to EGP 12,158/tonne ($701). Rebar production dropped -3% in December to 688,000t.
