Egyptian November rebar output recovers from multi-year low
Egyptian rebar sales increased for the third consecutive month, by 4% on-year in November to 533,500 tonnes. Average price fell however by -4% to EGP 4,895/tonne ($625/t), Kallanish learns from the latest Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data. Sales were also up 4% from October.
Rebar production grew by 2% on-year in November to 574,500t, also recovering from a multi-year monthly low in October of 363,000t. Indeed, November’s output was the highest since June. …
