Egypt’s Misr Steel profit shrinks in second quarter
Egyptian re-roller Misr National Steel Ataqa saw profit decrease in the second quarter, shrinking 38.7% on-year and 72.4% on-quarter to EGP 18.79 million ($982,260), Kallanish notes.
In the first half of 2022, the company's revenue inched up 1.5% on-year to EGP 1.34 billion versus EGP 1.32 billion in H1 2021, whereas profit dropped 7.7% on-year to EGP 86.75m, according to a bourse filing.
