Egyptian mills increase rebar prices
In Egypt, rebar prices have increased effective from 10 March. Major mills have revised their prices for the third time in the last two weeks, Kallanish notes.
Mills’ new domestic market ex-works net rebar prices, including 14% VAT, are at EGP 17,500/tonne ($978) for El Marakby and El Garhy, at EGP 17,000/t ($949) for Ezz Steel, and at EGP 16,900/t ($942) for Suez, Misr and Egyptian Steel. Dollar conversions exclude the 14% VAT levied in Egypt.
