Egyptian February rebar output falls further than sales
Egyptian rebar sales declined -1% on-year in February to 696,400 tonnes, Kallanish learns from the latest Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data.
Their average price was down 6% to EGP 4,550/tonne ($512); however, it recovered from a three-year low of EGP 4,486/t in January. International steel and raw materials prices began rising gradually after bottoming out in early February.
