Egypt sources more Saudi billet, rebar in April
Saudi Arabian billet exports fell to 17,892 tonnes in April versus 43,328t the month before, according to General Authority for Statistics data monitored by Kallanish. These exports only resumed in January after a ten-year hiatus.
The decline was because Indonesia took in zero versus 40,061t in March. Nevertheless, Egypt and Jordan sourced 10,000t and 7,892t respectively versus zero and 3,267t in March.
