Egypt grants pellet, DRI, billet production licences
Egypt’s General Authority for Industrial Development (IDA) has granted six licences for new projects or expansion of existing ones, for the production of billet, direct reduced iron and iron ore pellet.
Six production licences will be granted for total annual production of 2.3 million tonnes of billet, 2.5mt of DRI and 16mt of pellet, according to a release published on IDA’s website seen by Kallanish.
