Egypt implements finished steel customs duty hike
Egypt has implemented the much-anticipated 10% customs duty increase on imports of all finished steel, effective 24 June.
The move will mainly impact flat products imports as Egyptian rebar and wire rod imports from China, Turkey and Ukraine have been levied with five-year anti-dumping duties since June 2017.
