Egypt steelmakers could pass on gas price hike
The Egyptian government has increased natural gas prices by nearly 27% for the high-consuming industrial sector, including steel, to $5.75 per million thermal units from $4.5/mtu, notes Kallanish.
The announcement was published in the official gazette on 28 October.
