Egypt exempts some importers from customs tariff hike
Egypt has exempted manufacturers who use steel feedstock to produce their final product from the recent 10% customs duty hike, Egyptian steel market sources tell Kallanish. There is uncertainty, however, over whether the exemption is a new development or whether it already existed when the duty hike was implemented last month.
