Echeng Steel orders new slab caster
Hebei-based Baowu Echeng Steel (Egang) has ordered a new 2,300mm slab caster from CISDI, the Chongqing-based technology supplier says in its latest newsletter.
The single-strand casting machine will produce up to 1.6 million tonnes/year of slab with a maximum thickness of 360mm, Kallanish notes.
