Turkish pipemakers fret over possible EU quota amendment
Turkish pipe producers, already struggling to conclude exports, are uneasy over the expectation of an imminent safeguard quota reduction announcement from the European Commission.
Pipemakers were expected to increase pipe sales at this time of year for the new EU quota term, but Eurofer’s application to cut quotas by 75% could hamper this. European buyers, on the other hand, are also cautious over concluding bookings and are delaying their decisions.
