Eastern Steel commissions coke oven in Malaysia
Malaysia's Eastern Steel has commissioned a coke oven at its steel plant in Kemaman, Terengganu.
A total of 4 clean heat recovery coke ovens are installed at the No. 4 oven site, and MCC 22 is responsible for equipment supply and project construction, Kallanish notes. The project is expected to reach 800,000 tonnes/year of coking capacity.
Eastern Steel aims to reach 2.7 million tonnes/year of steel capacity at the plant, including a 2mt/y hot strip mill.&nbs…
