Taiwan's E United plans US steel plant
Taiwan’s E United aims to invest NTD 50 billion ($1.64 billion) in a new steel factory in the south eastern USA, founder Lin I-shou told media this week. E United has a mixed history with announced overseas investments, but hopes that there will now be political support for investment in the US, Kallanish notes.
Lin did not announce any other details of the prospective investment, but said that a delegation would tour potential locations in the coming week…
