E United targets Tang Eng merger
According to requirements from the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Yieh United Steel and Yieh Phui Enterprise have simultaneously issued announcements last Friday, applying for the merger of the stainless steel business with Tang Eng Iron Works Co., Ltd.
The two companies affiliated to E United Group plan to directly or indirectly obtain more than one third or over 50% equity of Tang Eng through public acquisition or other means, Kallanish notes.
