E.ON begins US wind farm construction
Germany utility giant E.ON has begun construction on a 278-megawatt (MW), $500 million Radford’s Run wind farm in Macon County, Illinois, Kallanish Steel's sister publication Kallanish Energy learns.
Upon completion, E.ON’s third project in Illinois is expected to be the second largest wind farm in the Midwestern state.
The 139-turbine project is expected to generate sufficient electricity to power roughly 90,000 homes.
