Algeria's AQS fully commissions DRI unit
Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS), the Algerian steelmaker, says its new direct reduced iron unit is now fully operational.
The unit, supplied by Midrex, has a production capacity of 2.5 million tonnes/year of both cold and hot DRI, Kallanish notes.
