DRI output may set record in 2017: Midrex
Over 4 million tonnes/year of new direct reduced iron/hot-briquetted iron capacity will be ramped up in 2017, with further capability under construction slated to come on line in 2018-19, according to Midrex. These figures include voestalpine’s Texas HBI plant that launched last September.
