Turkish mills revise rod prices down
Facing very stagnant demand, Turkish wire rod producers have further decreased their export prices.
Mesh-quality wire rod prices, which stood at $430-440/tonne fob the previous week, fell to $420-430/t fob Turkey last week.
A Turkish mill that refrains from declaring a price says: “Prices are useless […to quote]. I have tested the market with a $20/t lower price, and still no buyer. Whatever price I declare, it does not make any sense.”
