Dost Steels foresees demand improvement, evaluates investments
Dost Steels (DSL) says the Pakistani government will continue to take measures to ensure domestic steelmakers are competitive against imports. The gap between supply and demand, meanwhile, provides the firm with a good opportunity to increase sales.
DSL launched commercial production twelve months ago almost ten years after its construction (see Kallanish passim). The mill produces up to 350,000 tonnes/year of 8-40mm diameter rebar in lengths of 9-15m.
