Russia's domestic prices jump in February, to reflect exchange rate moves
Russia has experienced a “major bounce” in domestic steel prices. In February, certain key products have gained by roughly 13% – for example, hot rolled coil, rebar and sections – and by a staggering 20% for cold rolled coil, according to local sources. This is because producers have adjusted their domestic price lists to account for the rouble’s depreciation, market sources say.
