Domestic demand boosts Turkey's white goods sales
Turkish white goods sales volume increased in the first quarter as domestic sales soared, thanks to the special consumption tax cut, according to the White Goods Manufacturers' Association of Turkey (TURKBESD).
Sales in Q1 rose 9.7% on-year to 5.7 million units on a 27% growth in domestic sales and a 3.1% rise in exports, local news agency Anadolu Ajansi reports citing TURKBESD chairman Ergun Guler.
