DMK’s steel, pig iron output decreases after acquisition
Ukraine's Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works (DMK), now part of Metinvest Group, decreased crude steel production in January-September, the company says.
Output amounted to 1.91 million tonnes, down by 2.5% on-year, Kallanish notes. Pig iron production was less by 0.2% at 1.79mt. Rolled steel production amounted to 1.9mt, down by 2.5%.
In September alone the plant produced 170,000t of steel, 150,000t of pig iron and 170,000t of rolled products.
