DMK’s first-half steel output increases, pig iron falls

Ukraine's Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works (DMK), formerly Dzerzhinsky Works, increased crude steel production in January-June, the company says. Output amounted to 1.3 million tonnes, up by 0.3% on-year, Kallanish notes. However, pig iron production was less by 1.5% at 2.1mt. Rolled steel production amounted to 451,400 tonnes, up by 17.3%.
