DMK reduces gas consumption with upgrade
Ukraine's Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works (DMK), formerly Dzerzhinsky Works, has started the final stage of the overhaul of heating furnace No. 3, the company says.
“Due to the long-term operation of the unit, the metal gas recuperator was worn out,” says heating devices section head Valery Kucher. “About 40% of the pipes were out of order and were damped, which significantly reduced the heat output of the unit.”
