DMK increases January steel output, pig iron falls
Ukraine's Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works (DMK), formerly Dzerzhinsky Works, increased crude steel production in January, the company says.
It amounted to 227,600 tonnes, up by 0.6% compared to December, Kallanish notes. However, pig iron production fell by -7.2% to 204,100t. Rolled steel production amounted to 73.500t, up by 3.1% on-month.
