DMK increases steel output, pig iron falls
Ukraine's Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Works (DMK), formerly Dzerzhinsky Works, increased crude steel production in January-March, the company says.
It amounted to 640,600 tonnes, up by 4.1% on-year, Kallanish notes. However, pig iron production fell by 1.4% to 573,000t. Rolled steel production amounted to 627,500t, up by 2.3%.
During January-March, 640,500t of steel products were shipped to consumers, which is less by 5.4% on-year.
