DMCI Mining reports lower Q1 nickel shipments
DMCI Mining in Philippines, the mining subsidiary of # DMCI Holdings, saw its total nickel shipments slip 3% from 487,000 wet metric tons (wmt) to 473,000 wmt in the first quarter ended 31 March, 2024, Kallanish notes.
The firm says in a bourse filing its total production for the quarter receded by 24% from 599,000 wmt to 454,000 wmt, primarily due to permit delays at a new mine site and the near-depletion of Zambales Diversified Metals Corporation (ZDMC).
