Benelux suppliers remain cautious despite scrap price increase
Benelux scrap yards have increased their collection prices, but scrap flow into yards remains at low levels.
Yards, which have had difficulties in sourcing scrap due to the prolonged decline in prices, have been forced to increase their prices in order to secure some material. While some yards still keep their prices at €165-167/tonne levels, most are observed to have increased to above €170/t ($187), or even €175/t delivered.
