Derun Steel contracts MCC3 for EAF construction
China Third Metallurgical Group (MCC3) has won the bid to build the steelmaking plant of Heyuan Derun Steel’s first-phase electric arc furnace project in Lantang New Town, Guangdong, Kallanish notes.
MCC3 will build one 120-tonne EAF, one 120t ladle furnace, one eight-strand continuous caster, two high-speed rebar production lines, a scrap processing workshop and other supporting facilities.
