Demand ramps up Severstal’s galvanized pipe production
Russian steelmaker Severstal’s roll-formed sections shop of the Cherepovets Metallurgical Plant (CherMK) has increased production volumes after a series of downtimes during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The number of orders for small-diameter pipes and profiles has increased, and now the shop is loaded almost to the maximum, up to 11,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes. Compared to last year, the increase amounted to more than 3,500t.
