Demand rebounds but recovery long way off: Jazeera
Demand is slowly recovering post Covid-19 lockdown, with optimism growing that a vaccine is near; however, a full recovery is still some distance away, says Oman-based re-roller Al Jazeera Steel.
The firm reported a -12% on-year decrease in consolidated production and -11% drop in sales in the nine months through September to 262,844 tonnes and 261,273t respectively. Sales in the third quarter returned to Q1 levels after the slump in Q2 on account of lockdowns.
