Demand for Turkish rebar slows
Turkish rebar producers are facing slower demand in both global and domestic markets this week. Although buyers find offer prices high, mills have no intention to lower prices due to high raw material prices and lead times.
Following further scrap prices hikes, some mills increased rebar prices last Friday. At the beginning of this week, when the remainder followed with hikes, Turkish rebar export quotes reached $530-540/tonne fob actual weight.
